Representative of the natural system, this "landscape ribbon" provides a distinct spatial sequence by beginning as a pedestrian collector in the surface parking lot. It provides access to the west entrance of the building while simultaneously climbs up onto the building roof and meanders its way on to the roof of a major meeting hall. It descends its way down into a large plaza that is the focus of the complex. The ribbon takes on many different forms as it engages with different parts of the site. The planting approach will change appropriately while its ground surface material changes from a walking path into a plaza and finally the interiors of a grand arrival hall of the building. The north, west and south facing facades of the building also explores an unique approach to a green wall system. Taking the work of land artist Christo & Jean Claude as inspiration, the steeply tiled green walls becomes a wrap of 'greenery' so that certain aspects of the building's massing beneath becomes apparent, while other areas become seamlessly connected to the landscape of the ground and beyond.
