Bahrain Cardiac Hospital, Awali, Kingdom of Bahrain
In the center of the Kingdom of Bahrain sits the small town of Awali. Located next to an existing hospital, the Ministry of Works and Housing intended on developing a state-of-the-art Cardiac Center for the royal family and the public.
The rolling hills of Awali in the desert landscape posed unique challenges. Our response was a well coordinated site and architecture design that weaves through the different existing site conditions and finding a balance between modern western architecture and local culture.
