Sarick Golden Mile, Toronto, Ontario
At the heart of Golden Mile, a transit-oriented mixed-use development that include 8 new building ranging from 10 to 53 storeys, our landscape master plan combines the Golden Mile Secondary Plan with innovative urban design, community building, park and urban spaces for the public and the future of this community.

Focused on the Connections in the Urban Grid, we brought the notion of a woven network between nature and the city grid to connecting buildings and open spaces together in a cohesive manner, blurring indoor and outdoor, integrating landscape and architecture. |
This 3.96-hectare site will be transformed into a series of connected elements in hardscape, softscape, and programmed spaces that invites the pedestrian to maneuver freely throughout the project site while providing enough visual and physical ques to respect functional elements such as vehicular movements. The curbless and flush paving edges were defined by bollards and planting, while hardscape material also break boundary by integrating vehicular and pedestrian space – creating shared paths and traffic calming reminders throughout. The largest open space is the proposed park, centrally located to the south. Easily accessible from the entire project site, the proposed park is the heart of the community. This expansive site includes a series of mounded and sunken open space for community gatherings while half the site is dedicated to a flexible open lawn area for a wide variety of uses.
